A Wine Bar in Baltimore,
Poured With Purpose
Wine, beer, cocktails, and zero-proof pours from Black-owned and women-owned makers, served in a room full of living plants on Charles Street.
326 N Charles St, Baltimore · Wed 5 to 9 · Thu through Sat 11 to 9 · Sun and Mon 12 to 7
Every glass carries a story
We pick bottles by who made them, and the difference shows up in the glass and in the conversation.
Black-owned and women-owned makers anchor the list, a good number of them from Baltimore or close to it, with sustainable producers filling in the rest. The bottles are shelved by region, the same way the plant floor is. Origin organizes this whole building, the wine and spirits included.
You'll find wine at every level of adventure here, from familiar Napa and Willamette names to lesser-known varietals like Malbec, Tempranillo, and Lagrein, plus cocktails built on small-batch spirits, local beer, and zero-proof selections that get real attention.
Who is behind the bottle
A few of the makers we pour, and why they earned a place on our shelves.
Uncle Nearest honors Nathan "Nearest" Green, born in Maryland in 1820, the master distiller who taught Jack Daniel whiskey distillation in 1864 and developed the charcoal filtering that gives Tennessee whiskey its smooth, maple-sweet character. His story sat untold for more than a century. It's the kind of story this bar exists to pour.
Black Girl Magic
From the McBride Sisters, a Black-owned wine company. Robin and Andréa McBride launched the label in 2018 to honor the women in their family and community.
Philosophy Wine
Small-batch dry wines made in Maryland by vintner Kimberly T. Johnson, blending classic and native grape varietals sourced locally.
Uncle Nearest
Premium whiskey honoring Nathan "Nearest" Green, filtered through sugar maple charcoal for a smooth, maple-sweet flavor.
Pickett Brewing Company
Started in a Baltimore garage in 2017, opened its own doors in 2022, and still brews with the same welcoming, neighborhood spirit.
Ultraviolet Wines
Winemaker Samantha Sheehan builds fruit-forward California wines from locally grown, organically farmed Mendocino County grapes. If you would rather send someone in than come yourself, a gift card covers the bar.
Ohla by Torres
A non-alcoholic wine from the Torres family of Spain, so the zero-proof glass at your table still tastes like the Mediterranean.

These are the makers we keep coming back to.
CAnE, Baltimore's own sugarcane spirits
We partner with CAnE, a Black-owned brand from right here in Baltimore, rethinking what sugarcane spirits can be.
CAnE stands for Crafted Artisan and Natural Elixirs. Using pure, fresh-pressed sugarcane juice and natural botanicals, they craft small-batch, unfiltered spirits inspired by agricole-style rums, fermented naturally and distilled with care. The result is bold, clean, and beautifully sippable.
Each month we host exclusive CAnE flavor drops, from herbaceous and floral to spicy or tropical. Come sip each new creation at the bar on its own or inside one of our signature cocktails.
