Maryland tax is 9 percent on alcohol and 6 percent on everything else. Where one applies, the other does not.

Is this a quote?
No. It's an estimate built from the same published rates you'll find on the pricing page. Your proposal puts the final numbers in writing, including anything we adjust for your date.
Why are there two agreements?
Maryland taxes alcohol at 9 percent and everything else at 6 percent, so your drink package gets its own agreement and invoice. You sign and pay both on the same day.
What is the refundable hold?
The Botany Bar, Garden and Gallery and full buyouts carry a refundable $200 incidental hold. It isn't part of your total, and it comes back after your event.
How much does mobile bartending cost?
We're finalizing our mobile bar prices. Add your details in the calculator and leave your date, and we'll quote it. Our bartenders bring the bar, tools, ice, mixers and garnishes to your venue.
What goes into an event budget here?
Most of an event budget comes down to three lines: venue, catering and drinks. This calculator prices the venue and the bar, with the 18% service charge and Maryland tax on their own lines, the same event expenses your proposal lists. Food comes from our preferred caterer list and the caterer quotes it, so add that quote to see your total budget.
Can I use it as a budget calculator for a corporate event?
Yes. Pick the event type, set the number of guests, and the event budget calculator prices a corporate event the same way it prices a birthday. For corporate events, the rental and the bar package already come out as two agreements, which is how your accounts team will see the invoices.
