Stem & Vine will offer plants + wine in its store

The short version

Before the storefront, there was a lobby full of plants

Open Works, one of the region's largest makerspaces, wrote about us before we had a Charles Street address, back when our plants were for sale in their lobby.

The interview catches the idea at its beginning. Quincy, then a material scientist working in the automotive industry, describes how the vegetation was always the first thing he noticed when he traveled, and how most houseplants come from the tropical regions where Black and Brown communities have deep roots. Stem & Vine was his plan to bring that connection home to Baltimore.

Everything the post promised now lives at 326 N Charles St. See how it turned out on our about page, or browse the rest of the coverage on the press page.
