When our doors opened on Charles Street, the AFRO American Newspapers came to see what a plant shop with a wine bar was really about.
The story introduces founder Quincy Goldsmith, a former metallurgical engineer who traded metals for botany, and the idea he built: plants arranged by their regions of origin, art made primarily by women of color, and a bar meant to pull it all into community. It also looks ahead to the workshops, tastings, and plant science programming that have since become part of our regular rhythm.
